WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR APPRENTICESHIP:
- Duration of apprenticeship: 3 years
- You will spend one and a half days a week at the vocational college in Offenburg, where the theoretical part of your training will take place.
- You will design and implement IT systems and use your expertise to support our employees
- You will learn how to work with modern IT hardware in our computer centre and develop outstanding digital skills in the use of cloud applications
- You will carry out individual and group projects in the fields of analysis, planning and installation
- As well as learning about the different areas of IT, you will also gain experience in Business Consulting and Project Management Office duties
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE:
- A keen interest in current IT technologies and the digital working world
- A desire to learn new skills and a willingness to embrace professional growth opportunities
- The ability to tackle tasks both within a team and independently
- Reliability, logical reasoning and quick comprehension skills
- Proficiency in the English language
- While not mandatory, it is advantageous if you have already completed an IT internship and have a Class B driving licence
- At minimum, a good secondary school leaving certificate

Hi, I'm Jan Schmidt. I'm the person to contact if you're interested in an IT apprenticeship at MEIKO. The world of IT is fascinating but can also be frustrating: no other profession experiences as many changes and major upheavals as this one! Of course as IT specialists we're used to coping with change – in fact we absolutely relish it! Staying on the ball, delving into new areas and helping to shape the changes around us are some of the key characteristics of our work. And of course traditional values play an important role too, because change requires structure and properly defined rules. It's all about having the confidence to maintain a balance.
